Scriptures referenced: All NKJV
Matthew 12:36-37 "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
James 3:8-10 "But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the [f]similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so."
Proverbs 18:21-Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit."
Susan's Poem:
Stop look and listen,
before you interact.
The words you speak,
the things you say,
can have a big impact.
Ask the Lord
for help and promises
and He will intercede.
His words affirm
his words confirm,
that you will succeed.

Welcome to Episode 33 of the Front Parking Spot Podcast! Join host Jennifer Bosma as she interviews Kelly King, the retired chairman, and CEO of Truist Bank. In this enlightening episode, Kelly shares his wisdom on the four steps to happiness and the importance of having a growth mindset. With insights tailored for moms, dads, and all family members, this conversation is a must-listen for anyone looking to enhance their life and daily purpose.
Discover how to choose happiness, find your purpose, cultivate a growth mindset, and help others. Kelly's inspiring stories and practical advice will leave you feeling motivated and equipped to face life's challenges with a positive outlook.
Kelly's five books' recommendations that he shared on the podcast are:
Man’s Search for Meaning by Dr. Victor Frankl. He survived the Holocaust, spent three years in Auschwitz, and wrote this book to help people realize that “If you know your Why, you can endure any How.”
Chasing Daylight by Eugene O’Kelley. Gene O’Kelley was 43 years old, CEO of one of the largest accounting firms in the world, KPMG, and was diagnosed with incurable brain cancer and given 90 days to live. He wanted to make his life matter so he wrote this book with the help of his wife and in it he talks about "consciousness of the moment.“ Everyday matters, one moment at a time.
Mindset by Dr Carol Dweck. She talks about how important it is to choose to have a Growth mindset vs a Fixed mindset. Growth mindset people believe the truth which is that they can learn, change and grow throughout their lives. So when they encounter obstacles they don’t become the victim and give up, rather they remain driven, persistent and accomplish their God-given purpose in life.
The Power of Positive Thinking by Dr Norman Vincent Peale. He talks about how having an enthusiastic positive attitude will help you overcome the negative obstacles in life. He bases his belief on a Christian view that God loves us and has a really important unique purpose for our life.
The Bible by God. This is one of my five great books because it is fundamental to my faith and it is full of great leadership stories.

Hey There, Mama!
Welcome to the Front Parking Spot Podcast!
It seems like yesterday when I was taking all three of my daughters (ages 6,4,2) to a local amusement park. I had a year pass, so why not? Driving up, the parking lot was packed. It seemed I needed to head for the back. I decided to take a chance, and I went for the front parking spots, and guess what? There wasn't one but two open spots! I zipped into one of them and unloaded. A life theme had just begun. So many people settle for the back spots, but it's usually available if you take a chance and go for the front parking spot. How does this relate to your life? In every way imaginable with God at the helm. So, live by Ephesians 3:20 and go for the front parking spot in your life today. If you take the chance and go for it, you'll be amazed at how the opportunities will open up!
